Colorful Almond Petit Fours

 Ingredients:

  • 500 g ground blanched almonds

  • 250 g powdered sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or orange blossom water

  • A pinch of salt

  • Food coloring (different colors)

  • Apricot or strawberry jam

  • Melted chocolate (for decoration)


 Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground almonds, powdered sugar, and salt.

  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until you get a soft dough.

  3. Divide the dough into portions and color each one with food coloring.

  4. Shape small cookies (flowers, rolls, balls, or fingers).

  5. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 10–12 minutes (do not overbake).

  7. Let the cookies cool completely.

  8. Stick some cookies together with jam and decorate with melted chocolate.
