One of the biggest challenges in hotel laundry rooms is keeping track of different types of towels: hand towels, washcloths, bath towels, pool towels, and spa wraps. When everything is white, it can be hard to tell them apart quickly. Adding colored or textured stripes to different towel types offers an immediate visual cue.
For instance, bath towels may have a thick vertical stripe near one end, while hand towels might feature a thin horizontal band across the center. These small differences save workers from having to unfold or measure each towel to know where it belongs.
Improved Sorting Efficiency
When towels come out of industrial dryers, they are often mixed together in large bins. Without visual indicators like stripes, staff would need to manually sort by size or touch. Stripes turn this into a fast, almost automatic process.
In many operations, certain stripe patterns are even color-coded by use. A gym may use blue-striped towels for the locker room and red-striped ones for equipment wipe-down. Similarly, spas might assign different stripes for facial towels versus massage linens.
