In addition to removing the evil eye, there are several forms of protection against it:
Tie a red ribbon over the affected person.
Hang various amulets in the room where the person works or rests. The most well-known is the Turkish eye.
Praying against the evil eye
A ritual is performed. For this, you need water, oil, and a blessed candle.
You must pour water into a dish, light the candle, and then the person affected by the evil eye must touch the dish containing the water with their left hand and, with their right hand, touch the shoulder of the person performing the ritual. The person performing the ritual must then trace the sign of the cross on the victim’s forehead and then on the dish containing the water.
Once the signs of the cross are complete, the affected person can remove their hands from the dish and the person. Then, the person performing the ritual must take the oil and drop a first drop into the water. If the drop crumbles and mixes with the water, it’s a clear sign that the victim is afflicted by the evil eye or envy.
Then, two more drops of water are dropped. If the drops seem to disappear from the dish, prayers and incantations can be recited to remove the evil eye.
