Baby oil and aspirin for flawless, younger-looking skin.

How often: Twice a week. Using it daily is too much; you’ll damage your skin’s protective barrier and end up with flaking.

5. Aspirin and Rosewater Toner
If you prefer a gentler, daily version of the aspirin mask, dissolve it in rosewater and use it as a facial toner. The dilution is low enough to use three times a week without overdoing it.

You will need:

4 uncoated aspirin tablets
100 ml of pure rosewater (the kind you drink, not the perfumed cosmetic version)
A clean glass bottle with a lid

How to prepare it: Crush the aspirin tablets and add them to the rosewater in the bottle. Shake well. Let it sit for two hours, shaking occasionally, until the tablets are completely dissolved. If you want it clear, strain the infusion through a clean coffee filter.

How to use: A few drops on a cotton pad, applied to clean skin three nights a week. Wait a minute, then moisturize. Stored in the refrigerator, it keeps for about a week. After that, discard it and make a fresh batch; it contains no preservatives.

Rose water soothes any tingling sensation caused by salicylic acid and provides a mild anti-inflammatory effect. In a few weeks, your skin’s texture looks smoother and your overall tone appears more even.

6. Baby Makeup Remover Oil
This isn’t exactly an anti-aging treatment, but it is a habit that accelerates it. Removing stubborn eye makeup with a rough washcloth night after night is one of the fastest ways to age the delicate skin around your eyes. Baby oil dissolves everything without rubbing.

You will need:

5 to 6 drops of baby oil
A soft, round piece of cotton
How to use: A few drops on a cotton pad. I press it onto my closed eyes for ten seconds and then gently slide it away. Everything—mascara, eyeliner, foundation—comes off in one or two swipes. Afterward, I wash my face as usual to remove the oil, since we don’t want a thick layer of mineral oil on our lashes and eyelids overnight.

A word of caution: avoid getting baby oil in your eyes. If a drop gets in, rinse immediately with cold water. It’s not dangerous, but it can cause stinging and blurred vision for a few minutes.
