Ingredients (4–5 servings)

  • 4–5 large bell peppers (halved, seeds removed)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20–30 pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 small onion, diced (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: mushrooms, olives, or cooked rice
