Julia Marie Gaiser, 23, and Matilda Ferrari, just 15, died in separate accidents in Austria and Italy, respectively, just days apart.
Julia, born in Brixen, South Tyrol, built a career that saw her compete for both Italy and Austria. Her talent made her a key member of the Salzburg national team, with whom she won three consecutive championships in 2023, 2024, and 2025. However, her burgeoning career was unexpectedly cut short when she was struck by a truck while cycling at a busy intersection in Austria.
